Annita Maslov is one of the many talented tattoo artists who are continuously amazing the world with their ink masterpieces. It’s a good thing that more and more people are starting to perceive tattoos in a positive light. This only means that there are now more people who appreciate these artists’ unparalleled talents. Likewise, tattoos have become more than just a mere form of self-expression but as an exceptional form of body art as well.

Maslov’s creations are definitely one for the books. She particularly specializes in dotwork tattoos which successfully showcase her proven expertise and undeniable passion towards the craft. Her works are often a balance between the dark and delicate. Revolving around Gothic, historical, nature-inspired themes, this Melbourne-based artist intricately renders her monochrome designs in black ink, dot by dot. This results in flawlessly astounding works that uncannily resemble antique lithographs.

In an interview, Maslov shared how finding an apprenticeship helped her to get where she is now. That’s why she advises anyone who’s interested in tattooing to do the same and not just practice on their own. She also suggests developing a “substantial folio” that exhibits one’s versatility in style and technical application.
