The Jelly Belly Sparkling Water hit the shelves in January 2020 and it appears that these fizzy sips are well on their way to redefining the overcrowded seltzer market. The candy-flavored seltzers come in 8 fun and fruity flavors that you’ve grown to love from the Jelly Belly brand! And the best part about these drinks? They only consist of two ingredients: carbonated water and natural flavors with zero sugar, zero calories and zero sweeteners!
The Jelly Belly water range is the Joffer Beverage Company’s debut offering. Joffer Beverage Company is Jelly Belly’s latest spinoff venture, with Stephen Joffer as its CEO. Stephen is a sixth-generation member of the Jelly Belly family. He is also the nephew of Jelly Belly CEO Lisa Rowland Brasher. And according to Stephen, the idea of creating this sweet seltzer came to him while he was sipping sparkling water together with his dad at a Mother’s Day party.
“We were on the back patio, drinking a couple of popular sparkling water brands, when I said out loud, ‘If only someone could nail a sparkling water with standout flavors’. The lightbulb came onn when my Dad suggested, ‘Why not our own Jelly flavors? We are known for rich flavors after all.’”

So, from that conversation, two second-generation members and three sixth-generation members came together and started the Joffer Beverage Company. Shortly after, the 8 flavors splashed onto the scene! The range consists of French Vanilla, Lemon Lime, Orange Sherbet, Piña Colada, Pink Grapefruit, Tangerine, Very Cherry and Watermelon. The fruity fizzy canned drinks were initially introduced exclusively at Hy-Vee. When asked why Joffer Beverage Company chose to partner with Hy-Vee for their product launch, they said:

During its introductory release, the candy-flavored seltzer was offered in 12-ounce cans that came in 8-packs for $4.99 to $5.99 at Hy-Vee. Since then, Joffer Beverage Co. has since expanded by offering their fizzy canned drinks in 24-count cases. The brand has assured us that they will be developing more flavors as their brand grows.
