Cartoonist Chaz Hutton Creates Sticky Note Drawings Showing The Everyday Problems Of Adulthood

Adulthood is filled with storms and stress – and as you might have already known – the struggle of becoming an adult is real. Australian cartoonist Chaz Hutton, the man behind the @instachaaz Instagram account, gives some witty takes on the everyday struggles of adulthood through sticky note drawings. His exceptionally clever and relatable illustrations are presented on small yellow, rectangular Post-it notes.

Currently based in London, Hutton is one of today’s emerging artists who are making a name for themselves through social media. His series of sticky note drawings depicts simple stickman figures dealing with life’s quotidian struggles. Using dialogue bubbles, he conveys his observations about adult life through the stick figures. Aside from the stickman figures, Hutton also illustrates his points of view in infographic forms such as charts, graphs, algorithm, and Venn diagrams.

“They started off as little drawings I’d make for friends and those friends ultimately convinced me to put them onto an Instagram which I assured them was a terrible idea and that nothing would come of it.”, he says.
