Getting out of bed is easily the hardest part of our day. However, the promise of delicious breakfast almost always manages to coax us out, right? Who could possibly resist a mug of freshly brewed coffee paired with a plate of fluffy waffles topped with whipped cream and syrup? If that suggestion got your licking your lips, then the new Eggo Salted Caramel Waffles will have you leaping out of bed every morning!
Eggo waffles are so good that generations of kids can’t help but scream “L’Eggo my Eggo!”. Its Homestyle and Blueberry variants are basically culinary classics at this point. And they’re really good when topped with just some butter and good ‘ol maple syrup or with a dollop of whipped cream. But Kellogg’s are taking their waffle game to a whole new level by adding irresistible salted caramel into the mix.
Wake up to delicious mornings with the new Eggo Salted Caramel Waffles
This addition to the Eggo lineup is so new that the brand hasn’t even made an official announcement about it yet. However, its lack of fanfare didn’t stop Instagram candy hunter @candyhunting from spotting it at Target. The new Salted Caramel Waffles were seen alongside the brand’s returning Apple Cinnamon variant. However, in comparison with the Apple Cinnamon, the Salted Caramel variety is labeled to be ‘thick and fluffy.
Another thing we love about these aside from its sweet and slightly salty flavor is that they’re Belgian style waffles. And according to @dadbodsnacks, you’ll find “bubbles of caramel scattered throughout the waffles”. But you’ll still definitely taste that brown sugar and butter goodness you love so much in every bite! Each 330-gram box contains 6 waffles that pack only 160 calories a piece. Those with soy, wheat, egg and milk allergies will have to pass on these though.
Sadly, these aren’t available for online purchase just yet. However, Instacart has listed several purveyors where you can purchase these tasty waffles from, like Stop & Shop, Giant, Shoppers, Shaw’s, Graul’s Market, Shop ‘n Save, Shoppers Value Foods and Grove City Market. So you might want to take a trip to your local market’s freezer aisle next time you go out. We just love having dessert for breakfast!
