.Attention, Dr Pepper fans! A new Dr Pepper soda was spotted at the 2019 National Association of Covenience Stores (NACS)! And it’s probably the closest we non-Pepper Pack members will get to the Birthday Cake Dr Pepper. The eagle-eyed Instagrammer, @candyhunting sighted the brand new Dr Pepper & Cream Soda flavor and was lucky enough to score a few sips! In the groundbreaking post, she said:
“New Dr Pepper & Cream Soda in both regular and diet varieties will be out March 2020! Due to the added vanilla flavor, these aren’t as strong as the classic Dr Pepper taste. Therefore, the flavor here is much less polarizing than original Dr Pepper. I actually like this flavor, unlike the original!”
Dr Pepper is yet to make an official announcement for its cream-flavored soda. But we’ve got an idea on how it’ll taste like. According to @candyhunting, the Dr Pepper & Cream Soda’s flavor shares similarities with the Dr Pepper Cherry Vanilla flavor which is currently available in stores today.

People are speculating that the Dr Pepper & Cream Soda will share some flavor similarities with the fabled Birthday Cake Dr Pepper
The pre-existing flavor features “a splash of cherry, a hint of vanilla, and the authentic taste of Dr Pepper”. But we’re also hoping that this new flavor can give us a closer idea towards what the Birthday Cake Dr Pepper tastes like. Much mystery surrounds elusive Birthday Cake Dr Pepper since only the brand’s ambassadors receive them. And even though the soda’s been in exclusive circulation since 2018, no reviews have been made about it. Which naturally makes us all thirst for it more!
That said, these three Dr Pepper sodas all have vanilla in common, so it may be safe to to assume that the Birthday Cake Dr Pepper and the Dr Pepper Cream & Soda might at least have a tiny flavor similarity. All we have is speculation though, until Dr Pepper officially releases it on March 2020, just in time for spring.
