Just think of it this way: there are new delicious treats coming to replace them! And we’re happy to announce that Hostess’ Carrot Cake Donettes will be gracing supermarket shelves this spring! The hearty flavor is coming back. And it looks like it’s going to stay this time around.
Hostess Donettes are essentially mini donuts. And you can enjoy them in a variety of different flavors. They’ve got it in Glazed, Frosted Chocolate, Powdered, Cinnamon Sugar Crunch, Hot Cocoa & Marshmallow, Frosted Strawberry and Fruitfetti. The Carrot Cake flavor was first introduced way back in 2017. However, it was only available as a limited release.
The Carrot Cake Donettes are back for spring
We all love the warm flavors of carrot cake. Top it with some cream cheese frosting and you’ve got yourself a slice of heaven. But to turn this all-time-favorite into mini donuts you can snack on any time, anywhere? Pure genius. Since being introduced as a limited edition offering in 2017, the Carrot Cake version have made regular re-appearances in shelves as an Easter treat. And fans are more than happy to hoard and munch away at ‘em every time they return.

Instagrammers @thetastyturtle and @snackbetch have spotted these Donettes on their local Walmart shelves. But that’s not the most exciting part! Apparently, the Carrot Cake flavor is no longer going to be an exclusive offering, as it’s listed on Meijer, and Amazon. You can probably grab these delicious Donettes in several Walmart locations the country. Various homemade versions for this treat exist. But do you really want to deal with the mess and chaos involved, when you could just have them ready as soon as you want them?
