With the emergence of innovative recreational vehicles, it has become a lot easier to ditch the old-school camping setup. But when it comes to accessories, the Bailey Discovery D4-2 Camper Trailer certainly tops them all. This one-of-a-kind caravan can be equipped with an inflatable awning that goes around one of its sides, all the way to the back!
At just under 1,000 kg when fully laden, the D4-2 is the lightest model in Bailey’s wide range of caravans. Equipped with a unique Alu-tech body shell, it measures 5.61 m long and 2.23 m wide. Just like other entry-level caravans in the market, this model can comfortably sleep two adults inside. It also boasts a fully furnished interior that comes with basically everything you’ll need for your outdoor adventure.
Inside, you’ll find a vertical, opening front skylight that gives the caravan a light and airy ambiance. The lounge area comes complete with two couches featuring premium upholstery and a fold-down occasional table in between.
The kitchen comes equipped with an oven and grill combination, a drop-down worktop extension and a square sink. Opposite it is table storage with a mini-fridge beneath it where you could store your food and beverages. There’s also a wet room in the corner, complete with a cassette toilet and a hand basin.

There are overhead locker doors that run along both sides of the interior. In addition, there are cabinets under the kitchen sink and oven, as well as in the bathroom. On top of that, there’s even wardrobe and shoe storage inside!
There’s even a compact closet for your clothes and shoes!
Aside from its impressive interior, what really sets this camper trailer apart is its optional awning accessory
This awning attachment features a uniquely curved wraparound shape. So, it goes around one side of the caravan, all the way to the back. It’s also fully inflatable, so it’s easy to set up and pitch. Packing and storage is easy too, as it comes with an oversized stuff-bag.

Made of weather-resistant fabric, this unique awning is waterproof and UV resistant, making it ideal for outdoor use. It features fully removable front and side doors, as well as large overdoor skylights with zip-up curtains. Once installed, the inflatable awning provides protection not just against the sun but against bugs, mosquitos and other insects too! So, you can comfortably prepare meals, have a picnic or simply lounge outdoors.
You can also use this extra shaded outdoor space to attach an optional inner sleeping tent. Doing so will provide additional space that can sleep two more adults! This is ideal for accommodating family members and friends who prefer to have their own space.

While there are a lot of good things to say about this inflatable awning accessory, there’s still a minor drawback to it. Unfortunately, just like the optional inner sleeping tent, you’ll have to purchase it separately from Prima Leisure. Nonetheless, we can assure you that it’s definitely worth the extra cost!
