KitKat, for starters, had us all excited after they revealed that they’ve been working on an apple pie-flavored treat. Other brands quickly followed, and now you can enjoy this rich dessert in fizzy form with the new Pepsi Apple Pie!
This dessert-inspired flavor from Pepsi is certainly a little surprising. However, this isn’t exactly the first time that Pepsi has added unexpected flavors to their soda. It’s just that… no one’s really ever made pastry-flavored soda before! We’ve sipped on fruit flavored drinks, but a soda that’s made to taste like apple pie? Now that’s something we absolutely need to try!

The new Pepsi Apple Pie reportedly tastes just like the real thing
According to reports, the Pepsi packs all the flavor elements we all know and love from the classic dessert. That means you’ll be able to taste those warm cinnamon notes, the crisp flavor of apples and even catch a hint of its buttery crust. How they managed to pull it off, we may never know. But we’re more than happy to sip it! You can even add a scoop of vanilla ice cream for a truly tasty ice cream float.

You can win a bottle of the pie-flavored soda
Instead of simply releasing the Pepsi on store shelves, the brand has decided to hold a rather exciting contest where you can win a bottle for yourself. They’re basically holding a baking contest. But instead of looking for the perfect treat, Pepsi is looking for the most epic baking fails instead! In a statement, Pepsi’s vice president for marketing, Todd Kaplan, said:
“Failing at baking – especially this year – is nothing to be ashamed of, and we’re celebrating those amateur bakers that are truly trying their best during a unique holiday season. With Pepsi Apple Pie, we’re providing a refreshingly delicious twist on the traditional slice of apple pie, while making sure people have some fun and don’t take themselves too seriously in the process.”
