Dairy Queen’s Fall Blizzard Treats are certainly among the things that we look forward to as we bid summer goodbye. Well, this year, the ice cream giant is giving us more reasons to be excited about their seasonal desserts. Not only are they bringing back the Pumpkin Pie Blizzard, but they’re also introducing a new Caramel Apple Pie Blizzard! So, for those who can’t wait for Thanksgiving to get a taste of the actual pies, these are your best bet for now!
The new fall flavor consists of Dairy Queen’s signature vanilla soft-serve with real apple pie pieces and soft caramel chunks. Topped with whipped topping, it’s available in a variety of sizes, including Mini, Small, Medium and Large. If this flavor seems familiar to you, that’s because Dairy Queen had launched an Apple Pie Blizzard a few years back.

However, this year’s version is evidently getting a nice addition of caramel chunks. So, it goes without saying that the new version would taste so much better than the previous one. In fact, a lot of people have already been raving about this new flavor online. Even Dairy Queen is starting to experience difficulty meeting the demand. In their website, they noted that:
“Due to high demand for this flavor, some stores are experiencing shortages of the soft caramel pieces. These stores will prepare the Blizzard with caramel topping as a replacement for the soft caramel pieces.”
Hopefully, this doesn’t break the deal for you. After all, Dairy Queen is treating us to six Fall Blizzard Treats flavors this year anyway! And joining the new Caramel Apple Pie are the Pumpkin Pie and Snickerdoodle flavors. Both are returning treats that have been making their seasonal appearances in the previous years. Out of the six flavors, it’s safe to say that these three are definitely the most fall-appropriate ones.
Completing the ice cream giant’s lineup of fall treats for 2020 are three chocolate-flavored ones. These include the Brownie Dough Blizzard, Choco-dipped Strawberry Blizzard and Oreo Mocha Fudge.
Unfortunately, as with any other seasonal treats, all these flavors will be available for a limited time only. So, be sure to plan a visit to your local Dairy Queen store soon to get a chance to taste all these treats! Yes, you just have to try them all! You know you want to.
