Funny Notes From Parents To Their Offspring

When you live in the same house as other people, notes are often the form of communication used when you need to make other people in the household aware of something. When you have teenagers or older children, there will be many times when you’re at home and the kids are out, and vice versa, so, notes often become a vital form of communication. Sometimes they’re intentionally funny, written by a witty parent, and other times they’re accidentally funny. Here we have a collection of great examples of amusing notes from parents to their offspring. Take a look!

Every teenager gets protective of their personal stuff and hates the idea of their parents having a good old nose. During the years of 12-17, kids are finding themselves and going through all sorts of things. However, there are some subjects that it doesn’t matter what age you are, you’d prefer not to ever discuss with your parents. So, imagine the horror you would feel to find out your dad had left a little something for you in one of your magazines!

There are some parents who are desperate to become grandparents, and others not so much. This could be down to plenty of reasons. Maybe, the would be parents haven’t flown the nest yet. Maybe they are too young, too immature or too unstable. There are a huge number of reasons why people feel the way they do and the author of this note wants to make sure their opinion is heard! If you are on birth control, it doesn’t hurt to have an extra reminder every now and again!

Arguably everything a parent buys in the food shop belongs to them. But, there are certain things a parent would say are gifts for the kids. However, sometimes the sweet cravings come and you’ve got no choice but to take back your words and do the dirty on your offspring. If you find yourself in this situation, here’s a good excuse you can use…

Surely the kid could just throw the sandwich away? We’re judging by the note that this child is old enough to read, but maybe not old enough to figure out they could just pretend to eat the sandwich? Don’t get us wrong, we understand you can’t pander to fussy eaters or it just makes the situation worse. But, maybe trying something different that is equally as healthy would be an idea?

Getting the members of your family to do as they’re told and help you out can feel like a constant losing battle. Sometimes, they do as they’re asked but it only lasts a couple of days. What we would suggest to improve this issue is to make things more fun! The below image is amusing and engaging, therefore much more likely to hammer out the message. We would definitely feed that toilet roll holder! Wouldn’t you?

Well, we don’t know about you but this is not something we would be too pleased with. Any self confessed foodie would be outraged to have a chunk of their food missing! We would not want to be the parent responsible for this when their child confronts them. It does seem a silly thing to get annoyed over, but many people don’t mess around when it comes to their food. We would like to know how the situation was handled and whether there was any revenge carried out!

Although there are those pranks that take thought and planning, with the intention of a long end game, typically most pranks are quick and to the point. If you want to see what happens when a short prank turns in to a long one, check out the image below! It was your classic ‘banana in a shoe’ joke but unfortunately the fruit wasn’t discovered until a year after it was planted. Gross!

When you aren’t too great with spelling and grammar, you open yourself up to being corrected and mocked to an extent. This is particularly satisfying when it is a close friend or family member! Here we have an example of a parent who often misspells their notes and their witty offspring’s response. We like the dedication of actually printing out an image!

Sometimes you can remind a person several times to do or check something only for them to forget anyway. A great way to combat this is to leave little reminder notes in places that the person can’t avoid! Places like cars, mirrors, the fridge, anywhere that you know the person who needs reminding visits often work perfectly. We’re definitely stealing this idea!

It’s common when parents go away to leave helpful and/or instructional notes for the loved ones that they leave behind. Here we have a note from a witty parent with some instructions on what to do should the kids get hungry. We are a little confused by the order of the instructions but that’s what makes the note even funnier in our opinion!

Everyone who has ever seen ‘Taken’, and even some who haven’t, know of the famous phone scene. Over the years, many people have taken and adapted this scene to fit their own situations. Below we have a brilliant and amusing example. It’s often easier to get a message through to your kids when you use something they can relate to and add some humor!
