The ‘expectation vs reality’ memes have been around for some time. We often see people sharing their own experiences of being robbed of their happiness because things just didn’t go as they expected. While many of us can relate to their utter disappointment, these experiences sometimes serve as a wake-up call that reality doesn’t always live up to our high standards. However, not all of these experiences are bad. In fact, there are also things that may exceed your expectations to.
So, today we’re going to look at the positive side of this ‘expectation vs reality’ thing. Well, it’s a given that when you buy something, you expect it to be as good as they’re advertised. Or when you make DIY stuff out of a recipe or instructions, you expect to achieve the same result as shown. But the end result could be a hit-or-miss. If you’re not too lucky, you may end up feeling upset with the outcome. But if you’re lucky, you may end up getting more than you bargained for. These people obviously fall into the latter. And most of us probably can’t help but feel envious of these lucky people who have won the food lottery or hit it big with the best deals.

Well, this just proves that reality isn’t all that ‘harsh’ after all. While there are many disappointments and failures along the way, it always helps to focus on the good things we have. The year 2020 is definitely the greatest example of the ‘expectation vs reality’ circumstance that apparently didn’t go as we all expected. But despite the letdown this historic year has brought to us so far, everyone is still hopeful that everything will be better for the year 2021. And despite all the catastrophes we have suffered this year, there are still some good things that deserved to be appreciated.
