Have you ever wondered what it’s like living with superheroes? Sure, it might seem entirely impossible—unless you too have superpowers, of course. However, this toy collector from Malaysia has somehow managed to make it possible with the help of a clever camera trick. Using forced perspective, Wire Hon captures fun shots of his action figures and makes them look as though they’re life-size.

The superhero fan shows off his playful photography on his social media pages. And, at a glance, one would instantly be envious of his seemingly “star-studded” portfolio. In fact, it’s as if he has successfully recruited the mighty superheroes from both Marvel and DC Universes to be part of his household!

Malaysian toy collector Wire Hon uses forced perspective photography to create the illusion that his action figures have come to life

From Hulk, Thor, Spider-Man, Batman, Superman and more, Hon portrays these toy figures in photos as regular human beings. He captures them from a strategic angle to create the illusion that they’re just as tall as him. So, in photos, one could see Hon and his family just casually “interacting” with these characters. And to add some comic relief, Hon even tasks them with helping out with household chores.

He even casually poses alongside them and tasks them with helping out with household chores

Apparently, when these heroes are not saving the day, they’re busy watering the plants, cleaning the porch and mowing the lawn. And since they’re blessed with superhuman strength, Hon also seeks their assistance in accomplishing laborious chores like moving mattresses.

Seeing the reluctance on these superheroes’ faces when doing the chores all the more makes the photos entertaining! And although they get along pretty well, it’s also inevitable to engage in petty arguments from time to time. Nevertheless, at the end of the day, they’re still one big happy family.

While it’s easy to assume that Hon uses high-tech equipment for his photoshoots, he’s actually doesn’t

The fact that these are just toy figures made to look like real people says a lot about Hon’s photography skills. And what’s even more mind-blowing is that he doesn’t use any high-tech equipment to achieve these impressive shots. In fact, he only uses his handy smartphone to carry out his forced perspective technique.

Well, this only goes to show that it’s actually possible to produce incredible photos without editing or manipulating them. As long as you position your subjects strategically, it’s not impossible to achieve the perfect composition. Feel free to follow Hon on Instagram to see more of his playful smartphone photography tricks!
