"Moo" Is A Dachshund That Has Gained Popularity For His Body That Looks Like A Cow

A unique puppy is currently going viral on social media due to his unusual fur that makes him look like a mini cow. Meet Moo – a seven-month-old dachshund pup with amazingly mismatched fur. He has a black and dark brown head, but he sports a black and white patterned coat on the rest of his body. His uncommon fur pattern is what makes him look like a completely different animal.

The dog lives with his owner Victoria Hoffman in Miami, Florida. According to Victoria, the adorable wiener pup always receives unexpected reactions from people whenever they go out for a walk. More often than not, people think the dog is wearing doggy pajamas. Indeed, it’s rare to see a dachshund that looks like a mini cow or a Dalmatian.

Moo has patterned fur on his body that makes him look like a mini cow

This pup’s unusual coat is a result of a unique condition called piebald coloring. The condition is due to a genetic abnormality that leads to a lack of pigmentation. This recessive trait leaves the animal’s coat with white spots on a pigmented background. This dog in particular, has piebald fur covering almost his entire body. As a result, this makes it appear like his body doesn’t match his head.

Despite his mismatched fur pattern, people seem to love his unique feature. But his fur isn’t the only thing that makes him special. Victoria says that the dog is super cuddly and sweet.
