Culinary and baking have taken a turn for the visual, giving birth to awesome food art where meals and treats are not just for the taste buds but the eyes as well. World-renowned pie artist Jessica Leigh Clark-Bojin (aka The Pieous on social media) creates epic pies that could pass as stunning works of art. Her delectable and eye-catching pastry dishes have been enchanting pie lovers all over the world. And it is not difficult to see why.

Turning her pies into artworks, her edible creations have captured viewers’ attention and delighted audiences across social media, TV, and print media. She has been into pastry art since 2016 with hundreds of impressive edible artworks under her portfolio. The creative baker takes inspiration from the seasons, festivities, pop culture references, and famous celebrities. In celebration of the Lunar New Year (February 1st), Clark-Bojin created a fierce-looking pie featuring a tiger lounging on a branch of a cherry blossom tree as a reference to the Chinese zodiac that marks 2022 as the Year of the Tiger.

Clark-Bojin creates the portrait using the pastry dough that goes on top of the pie. First, she draws the image on paper and cuts out the stencil. Then she molds the strip of dough using the paper stencil. She uses edible pigments to add colors and paint details on the portrait before she places it on top of the pastry. The Lunar New Year pie consists of appetizing pomegranate filling that lends its rich red color as a background for the portrait.
