This story about a rescue mountain lion cub will touch your hearts in the most endearing way. The story was recently shared by the San Diego Humane Society on their Facebook page. And the internet people couldn’t be any more grateful for the animal shelter’s heroic deed.
On their Facebook post, the non-profit organization shared photos of the mountain lion cub being syringe fed by caretakers. According to the shelter, the 12-week-old cub was found and rescued by firefighters in Southern California near Idyllwild back in September. She was already on the verge of death when she was discovered due to starvation and dehydration. When she arrived at one of the shelter’s campus, she was nearly unconscious and only weighed 11 pounds which was considered extremely underweight for her age.
This Mountain Lion Cub Was In Terrible Condition When She Was Found And Rescued By Firefighters
Due to her severe condition, the mountain lion cub has to undergo five weeks of specialized care. After receiving medications and regular fluid intake, the cute cub is now quickly recovering. The shelter is proud to announce that she is now healthy and currently weighs 22 pounds. Once she fully recovers, she will be sent to her permanent home at a qualified wildlife facility.
