McDonald’s McCafé will be adding three treats to sweeten your mornings this October. The world-famous fast food restaurant has been serving breakfast since 1971, when they introduced their Egg McMuffin. This quick and filling breakfast option catapulted McDonald’s into every busybody’s breakfast source. For over five decades, the chain has certainly delivered plenty of tasty and affordable morning bites for the average Joe on the go. And now, they’ve decided to sweeten things up by adding Apple Fritter, Blueberry Muffin, and Cinnamon Roll to their breakfast menu!
The McDonald’s breakfast menu offers plenty of savory sandwiches and combinations for us to choose from. Even their classic Egg McMuffin has evolved, because now you can choose to order it with a sausage add-on, or to get it in its ultimate savory form that features sausage, fried egg, and cheese. Nearly all of the chain’s breakfast items offer savory flavors, save for their hotcakes. Thankfully we can now get something light and sweet to pair with our morning coffee with the addition of the Apple Fritter, Blueberry Muffin, and Cinnamon Roll! This is certainly a sweet surprise from our favorite fastfood chain!
McDonald’s is adding three new sweet treats to their bakery line after 8 years of not doing so
There’s no denying that when it comes to sweet treats, McDonald’s never fails to deliver. From their pies, sundaes, and seasonal offerings – they always manage to the perfect flavor going in every spoonful or bite! And now, we’ll have some scrumptious pastries to look forward to nibbling on starting October 28. It’s worth noting that these are the first bites that McDonald’s has decided to offer through their bakery line in over 8 years too! In a nutshell, they’re definitely a big deal and you shouldn’t miss out. In a statement, Linda VanGosen, vice president, brand menu strategy, McDonald’s USA, said in press release:
“McDonald’s has been famous for our savory breakfast menu for almost fifty years. We’re continuing our breakfast innovation by adding tasty new options with our McCafé Bakery lineup. We know our customers deserve a break now more than ever and are excited to give them another reason to visit their breakfast destination by offering delicious flavors they crave any time of the day.”
Start your day with something sweet from McDonald’s
Everyone’s favorite Apple Fritter will come with an apple and cinnamon filling and will have sweet glaze icing. Meanwhile, the Blueberry Muffin boasts an entirely new recipe made with real blueberries and topped with a streusel crumb topping. You also won’t want to pass up their buttery and flaky Cinnamon Roll that’s drizzled with cream cheese icing!
You can get them through carry-out at the Drive-Thru or through McDelivery once they’re available. Each order will also include either a ground or whole bean coffee option. I don’t about you but I’ve got some Drive-Thru plans on the 28th!
