Starbucks’ Have Released A Spooky Phantom Frappuccino For Halloween

Starbucks in Europe are now offering a terrifying frappuccino and it just might be this year’s best Halloween potion. Fall drinks are usually warm, spicy, and mellow. But this year the coffee company has decided to take a darker direction. Starbucks’ Phantom Frappuccino looks like a cupful of tar mixed with some radioactive green slime. The concoction looks absolutely awful and downright icky – we’ll take ten!

It’s so ghoulish and otherworldly that this frappuccino offering wouldn’t be out of place in Tim Burton’s world. But compared to Starbucks’ Jack Skellington Frappuccino, the Phantom takes the crown as the most ghoulish sip option for this spooky season.

Given its dark aesthetic, you’d think that this frappuccino would taste bitter or unpleasant. But Starbucks has never made a bad drink and they’re not about to. It may be pitch black but Starbucks promises that the flavors you can expect from it are anything but nasty.

It might be pitch black but this drink surprisingly tastes tropical. The ghoulish green slime is made from the combination of charcoal powder, spirulina extract, and lemon-lime juices.  And the actual concoction consists of black coconut milk and coconut whipped cream lacd with mango and pineapple essence. If the drink isn’t “spooky enough”, you can request to have a special coconut cream and charcoal powder mixture added on top to achieve that super disturbing ooze effect.

But wait, there’s another reason to love Starbucks’ Phantom Frappuccino!

Since the Starbucks’ Phantom Frappuccino doesn’t contain any dairy products and instead contains healthy ingredients like charcoal and spirulina, it’s a frappuccino that vegans and lactose-intolerant individuals alike can enjoy. A spokesperson for Starbucks, in an official statement, said:

“Starbucks has always been committed to offering costumers products that meet their diverse needs and taste preferences. As more people choose a dairy-free diet, we are making sure costumers don’t have to miss out on new product launches by widening our range of vegan-friendly options.”

Just like any frappuccino, it’s obviously going to be cold. So you obviously shouldn’t expect it to warm you up like the pumpkin spice latte. You can, however, definitely look forward to getting shivers down your spine when you take a sip of this mindboggling Halloween drink.

But wait, there’s a twist to this twisted thirst-quencher!

Has the Phantom Frap given you a sudden desire to taste the curious concoction? Well, we might have some upsetting news for you. The Frappuccino will only be available for six days from October 26th to 31st in Starbucks stores in Europe, Middle East, and Africa. So you might want to hop onto your broomstick (or if you’re a muggle, book a flight) pronto. But if you’re lucky and you’re in the UK when the pitch black frappuccino drops, the price for this pitch black frappuccino starts at £2.70.

However it seems that the frappuccino’s availability varies by country. Starbucks Spain and Starbucks Portugal already unleashed the Phantom beverage on Monday, October 21 and will be available until November 1st.

The unusual concoction has of course, caused a divide among frappuccino enthusiasts. Some expressed their skepticism towards the drink., while other customers expressed their enthusiasm. Now, between this and Starbucks Japan’s Dark Night Frappuccino, which one do you think reigns supreme as the coffee company’s spooky offering? Oh and if you find the weather too cold to go to Starbucks, you can now have this darkly delicious frappuccino delivered through UberEats.
