7-Eleven Day, which of course falls on July 11th is literally only a few days away! Unfortunately, the convenience store has already announced that it will not be celebrating the birthday in-store in light of the ongoing pandemic. Nonetheless, this doesn’t mean that they’ve got nothing in store for us. For starters, they’re bringing back the Piña Colada Slurpee to help us beat the summer heat!
Instagram user @junkfoodinthetrunk3 was among the first to have spotted the cocktail-inspired frozen drink in-store. With the vending machine’s funky graphics and vibrant colors, it will be impossible not to notice it. Hopefully, it will be a nationwide release, so we can all enjoy it in time for the sizzling hot summer days.

In case you need a refresher, this summer flavor has already made numerous appearances in the past. While it’s not entirely a new offering, its seasonal comebacks have undeniably become one of the things that we look forward to each year. However, it’s worth pointing out that this year’s Piña Colada flavors don’t seem to feature the Fanta Piña Colada. Nevertheless, the slurpee will be bursting with pineapple and coconut flavors!

This drink is definitely an excellent choice if you wish to enjoy the classic cocktail without the boozy kick. Even so, we certainly wouldn’t advise against adding a few shots of your favorite rum into it. Apparently, it’s not an uncommon practice and Malibu proves to be a popular choice. Despite the cancellation of in-store activities for the 7-Eleven Day celebration, the convenience store is still pushing through its annual tradition of giving away free Slurpee drinks. All 7Rewards loyalty app members are entitled to one free medium Slurpee coupon that’s redeemable the entire month of July. Well, now we know which flavor we are getting!
