Although, in families with one mom and one dad, both should be treated as equal co-parents, the way that society treats moms is very different to the way they treat dads. Fathers are often seen in media as being bumbling and hapless, so even doing the bare minimum wins dads much praise. Moms, on the other hand, are seen as the primary caregivers and put under much more scrutiny. This isn’t fair on either parent, as it’s putting too much pressure on moms while also insulting dads by insinuating the majority of them are incapable, when this isn’t really the case.
