This Restaurant Uses Toy Pandas To Help Separate Their Customers Without The Loneliness

How about having the company of cute pandas while you dine? Sounds too good to be true? This restaurant in Thailand could make this dream a reality. Well, sort of. Maison Saigon, a Vietnamese restaurant located in Bangkok, is using plush toys to remind their customers to observe social distancing. Although they are not real, the plush toys are actually the closest thing to the actual bear.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, most parts of the globe are put in a lockdown to prevent the spread of the disease. Non-essential businesses and even restaurants are indefinitely shut down and people are advised to stay at home. Some countries have found ways to control the situation and in order to keep their economy flowing, they began to ease lockdown measures. By lifting some restrictions, non-essential businesses and restaurants are allowed to reopen as long as social distancing and protective measures are strictly observed. Maison Saigon, in particular, is very meticulous in keeping their customers safe. They ensure that they check the temperature of every person entering and provide hand sanitizer to every customer. And to keep their customers apart, they placed some plush toys on the seats.

This restaurant places plush pandas on the seats to keep customers apart and also to keep lonely customers company

The adorable plush toys don’t only keep the customers to sit at a safe distance. But they also provide company to those who come to eat alone. The restaurant’s authentic Vietnamese cuisine looks appetizing. But we’re pretty sure they taste even better when some cute toys are seated next to you. Not the real ones, but at least you can just imagine that they’re real. And no one would even judge you if you start talking to them. Besides, they are there to keep you company in the first place.

Unfortunately, all foreign nationals are still denied entry to Thailand. To put it simply, there’s no way we can fly to Bangkok and visit this restaurant during this time. All we could do is look at these photos and imagine ourselves dining with adorable plush bears.
