Two is better than one, that’s probably the philosophy behind the Kit Kat Duos. Last year, Hershey’s introduced the first flavor for its new Duo line: the Mint + Dark Chocolate. The new offering featured the classic chocolate-filled wafers covered in two layers of flavors. Each wafer bar has a mint crème layer on top and a dark chocolate layer on the bottom.
Now, it appears that more flavors are coming into the Duo line. The chocolate brand recently announced a new Duos flavor which is the Mocha + Chocolate. It also features two layers, mocha and chocolate, so you get both flavors in every bite. The top half of the wafer has mocha crème with coffee bits while the bottom half has chocolate.

Coffee and chocolate have always been a perfect match. So, there’s no way this combo could ever go wrong. If you’re a caffeine-lover like us, you’ll find this new Duo like a piece of heaven in a pack. After the success of the Mint + Dark Chocolate bars, rumor has it that Hershey’s will be releasing Cookies and Cream as the second flavor to join the line. But it turns out that the Mocha + Chocolate has gotten the nod. And we say it was a good decision.
“The expanding Duos line is special because we can explore both flavor innovation and flavor pairings,” Amy Minderman, senior manager Kit Kat brand, said in a press release. “Consumers clamor for the latest and greatest from the Kit Kat brand and we believe our newest star will not disappoint; with real coffee bits wrapped in a mocha flavored creme surrounding the undeniable Kit Kat wafer, what’s not to love.”

Indeed, what’s not to love about this coffee-and-chocolate combo? It’s basically a match made in heaven. Plus, those coffee bits mixed into the mocha crème sounds really tempting. Now, we can’t seem to calm down the caffeine-lover in us. Well, we don’t have to wait that long because the new Mocha + Chocolate will be hitting stores nationwide starting November. What’s more, it is going to be a permanent addition to the Duo line. The mocha-chocolate bars will be available in standard (1.5-oz) and king-size (3-oz) sizes.
