Disneyland Paris Is Building A ‘Frozen’ Land Based On Scandinavia That Will Be Fully Immersive

Disney’s Frozen 2 has finally hit the cinemas. However, it seems like the Frozen frenzy will not simply end even after the showing of the much-awaited sequel. Fans hailing from the city of love will soon experience the beauty and grandeur of the kingdom of Arendelle. Disneyland Paris’ Frozen land is currently in the works, and here’s what we know so far.

The Disney Parks Blog has recently revealed more information about the upcoming themed area and even released an artist concept of it. Since it’s Disney, well, we shouldn’t expect any less. The concept art alone already looks promising and magical.

Guests of Disneyland Paris will soon experience the magical kingdom of Arendelle

According to the blog, the land will be “fully immersive” and will feature “the snow-capped mountain of Arendelle.” On top of that, guests can expect to witness “a magnificent lake” and another attraction which Disney has yet to reveal. Of course, there will be meet-and-greet sessions with Anna, Elsa, Olaf, and the entire Frozen friends. Likewise, there will be a restaurant and a souvenir shop to complete this enchanting experience.

As you might already know, this construction is part of the multi-year expansion plan for the Walt Disney Studios Park. In February 2018, Disney Chairman and CEO Robert A. Iger announced the three new areas that will be part of this major transformation. Along with the Frozen-themed land, fans can also expect one themed after Star Wars and another one based on Marvel.

“The expansion plan—one of the most ambitious development projects at Disneyland Paris since the resort’s 1992 opening—underscores Disney’s commitment to the resort’s long-term success as its brand beacon in Europe.”

As of writing, we still have no idea when Disneyland Paris’ Frozen land will open. In the meantime, fans can enjoy another event based on the animated film. Disneyland Paris will be holding the Frozen Celebration from January 11 to May 3, 2020.

The event will feature shows and parades starring the Frozen gang as well as talented dancers and acrobats. In addition, guests will also have access to exclusive treats, drinks and a wide variety of Frozen collectibles are up for grabs.
