Food holidays don’t usually cause much of a stir, but they certainly give us a valid excuse to indulge in our favorite treats. This year’s National Peanut Butter Day, however, was quite different and a tad more exciting. That’s because we’ve learned of the possibility that Ferrero will launch a Butterfinger Peanut Butter spread! To be honest, this has got us wondering how and why it’s not already a thing yet.

On January 24th, the brand took to Instagram to share a photo of a mockup packaging of the “crispety crunchety” spread. The photo also featured a banner that read, “New?*” on the upper left corner and a “maybe sometime in the future” remark below. Meanwhile, the caption read, “We just had the best idea for #NationalPeanutButterDay. Just kidding . . . Unless?”

Butterfinger recently hinted at the possibility of launching a peanut butter inspired by the classic chocolate bar

Although the post didn’t bear any certainty, it was still big news for the chocolate bar’s fans and peanut butter lovers alike. Naturally, the post garnered positive responses from the online community. In fact, a lot of them begged the brand to bring the product to life ASAP and expressed their interest in buying it. One user commented, “Make this available immediately. Pretty please.” Another wrote, “I’ll take your entire stock.”

We hope all these responses are enough to convince the brand that we definitely need this product in our lives! Okay, Butterfinger, now that you’ve hinted at this possibility, it’s time to turn it into a reality! In the meantime, you can appease your sweet tooth with this 4.5-pound tub of Reese’s Peanut Butter Sauce on Amazon.
