Adorable Black Cat Looks Like A Pair Of Floating Eyes In Dark Places
South Korea seems to have a thing for inky kitties with remarkably big eyes. Remember Gimo, the South Korean Scottish fold who is currently dubbed as the ‘cat with the biggest eyes in the world’? Well, we found another black cat in the same country with large, bright eyes and jet black fur. Meet MeonJi, a 4-year-old Scottish fold with fur as dark as night and round radiant eyes that make him look like a walking shadow with eyes floating in midair.
His name means ‘dust’ in Korean and he is currently knocking everyone’s socks off with his unique color that can be described as the ‘blackest of all blacks’. So when he hides in dark places, he magically blends with the surrounding and appears almost invisible if not for those huge lustrous eyes. His owner, Kim Aerin, admits that she wasn’t originally the biggest fan of black cats. And it’s no wonder since dark-colored felines have been associated with not-so-nice things – harbinger of bad luck, black magic, witchcraft – among other things.
But as soon as she saw MeonJi, her impression about black cats completely changed. Now she thinks dark-colored kitties are the best pets one could ever have. Despite MeonJi’s dark and grim appearance, she reveals that her lovable black cat is actually playful and sweet.
But just like any other normal felines, MeonJi also displays unpredictable mood swings. He can be in serene mood at the moment, and the next minute he can be really feisty. And when he shows his cute little fangs, he becomes the spitting image of Toothless from How To Train Your Dragon series.
Meonji shares a home with his other black cat siblings. But he is easily recognizable among the bunch as the one with the blackest fur. Follow this adorable kitty on Instagram and be a part of his daily life filled with cuteness and his funny antics.
