This House Which Was Abandoned For Over 30 Years Held A Huge And Forgotten Secret

In January 2014 the anonymous urban exploration photographer behind the ‘Freaktography’ website was given the location of an abandoned house by a friend and decided to check it out. Unbeknownst to him the house contained a secret which had been laying there for more than 30 years. As he walked around taking photos, he realized that the place was filled with amazing objects, however, nothing prepared him for what he was about to uncover. Take a look!

Behind an old mattress, the photographer found 4 old tin cans stuffed with American and Canadian cash dating back to the mid 60’s and 70’s… $6,800 in total. Each roll was marked with the amount and date. He decided to call the daughter of the property owner who was understandably upset at his trespassing. When she got things straight in her head, they met up and she took the anonymous photographer, his friend and their partners through the old house explaining the circumstances behind its abandonment. Of course, they gave her over the money that had been found, which the daughter believes was the proceeds of her family’s fruit stand. Isn’t it good to know there are still honest people in the world?
