With a desktop 3D printer, you can do anything. From making prosthetic legs or wheelchair for immobile animals to stylish pieces of decorations – this technology is proposing a faster and more efficient method of creating things in the comfort of your home. This particular cat owner just introduced a new way to use this versatile machine and people loved the idea of making 3D-printed cat helmets for their feline friends too.

Despite the recent craze for 3D printers, this groundbreaking technology is actually older than you think. Desktop 3D printers have been used by designers and engineers for more than 30 years, but only recently have these versatile machines made their way into homes and became increasingly popular. Today, 3D printing has enabled freedom and creativity for everyone to create almost anything without the need for a warehouse or expensive machinery. Rémy Vicarini took advantage of these possibilities and created 3D-printed cat helmets for his feline pet named Cathode.

Vicarini and Cathode love to go on adventures together. From long bike rides to skiing, Vicarini makes sure to bring his cat on his exciting outdoor escapades. To ensure his cat’s safety, he decided to make custom helmets for Cathode using specialized software. So he can safely bring his furry buddy with him wherever he goes.

The proud cat owner has created plenty of 3D-printed cat helmets for Cathode and shares pics of the cat wearing his creations on Instagram. Aside from the stylish protective headgears, Vicarini has also began more creative with his digital designs. He amusingly turned his cat into the cutest cosplayer with an Iron Man helmet, a Darth Vader breath mask, and a medieval knight’s great helm.
