A bowl of cereal with milk will always be a breakfast staple. That’s why it’s always exciting news whenever cereal brands come up with new flavors and variants. But it gets even more exciting when cereal brands and snack brands come together to make our dream breakfast treats come true. Case in point, Kellogg’s is partnering with Little Debbie to bring us Oatmeal Creme Pies Cereal. Now it’s totally acceptable to have snack cakes early in the morning!
The word about this interesting collab first got out when Instagram user @cerealsnob shared a photo of the alleged packaging of the upcoming cereal. Apparently, it was a screenshot from a video on YouTube of someone reviewing a leaked sample of the cereal. The packaging seemed legit, although it was hard to confirm just from the video alone. Nevertheless, the post piqued the interest of the fans of the classic Little Debbie treat and garnered some positive responses.

Luckily, we don’t have to speculate about the legitimacy of this cereal anymore. Little Debbie already confirmed the rumors on its official social media pages, including the alleged packaging. As indicated on the packaging, the cereal consists of “crispy oatmeal puffs with a creme coating.” Of course, this is a subtle nod to the original wheat-grain sandwich cookies with the famous creme filling. And if the classic treat goes well with a glass of milk, then the same will go for its cereal form as well.

Apparently, this is the first-ever Little Debbie treat to get a cereal transformation. Well, the timing couldn’t be more perfect, as this year also marks the original snack’s 60th anniversary. According to another post from @cerealsnob, the new cereal will hit the shelves in December 2020. It will be available in 9.1-ounce boxes and 14.5-ounce boxes with a suggested retail price of $3.99 and $5.69, respectively.
