Folk wisdom has it that doppelgangers are harbingers of bad luck and even death. According to some folklore, meeting your doppelganger often means that bad luck or death will soon follow. This is why in the olden days, seeing a lookalike is considered a bad omen. And people would want to avoid seeing them as much as possible. Well, time has changed and some superstitions are no longer taken seriously. And that includes the creepy myth about meeting our identical lookalikes.
