Does symmetry make a person beautiful? There has long been an inherent societal belief that it does. Yet, photographer, Alex John Beck undertook an interesting experiment, with the results of which seem to prove that perfect symmetry is not all that! His project, called 'Both Sides Of', saw Beck create completely symmetrical composite images of people's faces. So, each portrait you see below is comprised of two different pictures: one is the left hand side of the person's face mirrored, and other is the right hand side of their face, mirrored. These people don't quite look like real humans, now! Check it out!
