Nothing beats the satisfaction of baking something from scratch. But let’s get real: do you really have the time? That’s why we bless Pillsbury’s ready-to-bake Sweet Biscuits. They’re basically instant versions of the classic Southern dessert! But the best part is that you can have them in either blueberry or chocolate flavors! All you have to do to enjoy their deliciousness is pop ‘em in the oven for less than 20 minutes and voila! You’ve got yourself some tasty morsels to enjoy and savor.
In case you’re unfamiliar with the biscuits, let me bring you up to speed. These are a Southern delicacy that, when made right, are light, moist and flaky. They’re kind of like the classic buttermilk cookie but slightly sweeter. It makes a perfect companion to savory dishes or you can use them in other delightful dishes like peach cobblers and strawberry shortcakes. If you haven’t eaten these biscuits before, then this is the perfect time to try them.

These new sweet biscuits from Pillsbury come in blueberry and chocolate flavors
Pillsbury’s biscuits are in an entirely different league from the classic Southern delights. For one, Pillsbury’s version is drizzled in the brand’s classic Cinnamon Roll vanilla icing. The biscuits reportedly share the same sweetness and flaky goodness that the homemade variety has. The vanilla icing and presence of blueberries and chocolate chips make these biscuits like a cinnamon roll-pancake mashup.
Preparing them is pretty easy. All you need to do is heat your oven, pop them in and wait 15 minutes! Each cylinder contains 8 biscuits and icing packs. They’re widely available online in retailers like Instacart, among others. Each biscuit packs 140 calories, so you might want to hold back on going through an entire cylinder on your own! But of course, it wouldn’t make sense to bake just one biscuit, right?

???? 4/5 and my biggest issue with these was the bottom still ended up a little burnt despite the fact that I turned the temperature down and only cooked it for the lowest amount of time suggested. Also definitely need more icing. Without the icing these just taste like regular biscuits with Blueberries. I do appreciate how easy these were to make though. If you already like biscuits I think these are worth getting but if you're not much of biscuit eater you don't need to go out of your way to try these. They definitely could've stepped it up if they had flavored the biscuits themselves a bit more instead of just putting the fruit in it. • • • • • • • • • • #pillsbury #pillsburysweetbiscuits #blueberrybiscuits #sweetbiscuits #blueberrysweetbiscuits #sweetblueberrybiscuits #biscuits #biscuitreview #foodblog #followme
