If you saw this 200-year-old house in Linescio, Switzerland from the outside, you'd probably think it was an abandoned ruin, but when you step inside, that couldn't be further from the truth. The fact is, that this cute cottage had fallen into major disrepair until it was renovated by Buchner Brundler Architekten. Wanting to keep the charm and quirkiness of the decaying old building, the architects decided to effectively build a second house within the walls of the original, so that it would be structurally sound without having to change or demolish any of the outside. The results are incredible! Let's have a look around!

What a gorgeous home! More architects should take on projects like this, to try to protect and preserve historical structures.
