The World’s First Ever Bike Escalator In Norway

Cycling is a lot of fun and an excellent form of exercise, however, those hills can seem like mountains when you’ve been pedaling for hours. Luckily for the citizens of Trondheim, Norway, a perfect solution has been found to this age old issue: The CylcoCable! It’s a bike escalator that will get you from the bottom of the hill to the top without any effort on your part. This creation is the brain child of a cyclist who was sick of arriving at work everyday in a sweaty, exhausted heap. The CycloCable has so far transported more than 200,000 tired cyclists 150 meters up the hill. All you need to do is put one foot on the escalator platform and it will transport you up the steep hill at 5 mph. As many as 5 people at a time can use it and it even works with baby stroller and scooters!
