Artist Toby Allen had been known to suffer from varying anxieties. One day, he randomly began to personify the overall condition, imagining his different anxieties as real, individual and tangible monsters. What would these monsters look like? Allen decided to draw them, and soon found this actually helped him to manage his condition. The sketching of the "monsters" was something he found to be cathartic and healing, and it even enabled Allen, for the first time, to view his condition with a hint of a comical aspect. He's since branched out to drawing all sorts of mental conditions as monsters. Take a look!
