Here at Awesome Inventions, we’re no strangers to trying to save a buck or two. In fact, we think there are some great ways to save money out there that everyone should try, such as reusing or recycling old items. However, there has to be a point where you call it a day and just shell out on a new item, or even do without it for a while. That’s why we’re pretty adamant that the 14 people who undertook the money-saving schemes pictured below went a step too far. From dangerous-looking DIY hot tubs to more than one strange alternative to replacing a bicycle wheel and a lot more in between, we’ve got evidence of some of the most ridiculous attempts to save money! We’re really not sure what some of these people were thinking!
