The 19th century building Carturesti Carusel or 'The Carousel of Light' is located deep within the heart of Bucharest, Romania. An elegant and beautiful building both inside and out, it is surrounded by bars, little coffee shops and a myriad of different stores selling everything you could imagine.
The building itself houses over 10,000 books and 5,000 DVDs and CDs. Spread over 6 floors, there is a top floor bistro, a modern art gallery and also a multimedia space located in the basement. With plans to hold concerts and events in the library in the future, you could easily spend a whole day and evening there!
