This Artist Recycles Old CDs By Transforming Them Into Incredible Sculptures

Since technology has advanced over the years the use of CDs has dramatically declined. Many of us will have thrown away our old discs but many others will still have theirs in storage. One person who uses unused and/or broken CD’s in an incredible way is Australia based artist Sean Avery. Sean glues disc shards to wire mesh frames to create the most stunning animal sculptures. Take a look below for some examples of his work and prepare to be blown away!

We absolutely adore these pieces. The iridescent animals radiate beauty effortlessly and we have never seen anything quite like them before! As Sean’s work is made using recyclable items, he classifies it as sustainable art. When talking about his creations Sean states ‘they’re a lot of fun to make but they take an extremely long time to finish’. This doesn’t surprise us at all as you can see the effort that has gone into them. Keep going to see more stunning examples!
