Gavin Aung Than's project 'Zen Pencils' began as a hobby but soon become his full time job. Turning inspirational quotes into entertaining comic strips, Than's work speaks to the viewer on so many levels. A friend of the artist suggested he base a comic on the inspirational quotes of Frida Kahlo. Than, who was not well acquainted with Kahlo, enjoyed finding out all about her life and translating her unique personality into the comic strip. Check out Than's awesome work below!
