Remember Pennywise, the sadistic, creepy clown from the movie IT, which was adapted from Stephen King's book? Well, he might have scared you back in 1990, but he's not half as macabre as the terrifying clowns you're about to see here. 'Clownville' is a photo series of spine-chilling clown portraits taken by French-born photographer Eolo Perfido. With their exaggerated facial expressions and freaky makeup, these clowns are sure to send a shudder down your spine. Perfido has certainly hit the mark in his aim of achieving a grotesque look. The photographer says he was inspired by silent film stars who were forced to exaggerate their emotions because they could not speak. Check out his 'Clownville' portraits yourself, below…
