Anyone who has ever experienced a mental illness or disorder will know that sometimes it can be extremely hard to sum up or describe particular conditions to people who have never dealt with them before. Digital artist Federico Babina has recently released a new project called ‘Archiatric’ that helps people to understand what sufferers go through. His animated video depicts 16 different mental illnesses and disorders and uses architecture to explain them. Take a look and see what you think!

It’s no surprise that Federico’s project has attracted a huge amount of positive attention. The powerful animations perfectly capture how mental disorders and illnesses feel. It’s people like Federico that are helping to reduce stigmas and spread awareness. Education is key in life! Many people don’t know how to approach talking about sensitive subjects and can find mental illnesses scary and/or intimidating which is why it’s so important to help each other to learn. Keep going to see more stills of the project and then at the end you can watch the animated video!
