    Hidden Mountain Village – Jiuzhaigou, China

    Shirakawa-go is a small town known for its incredibly steep roofs which were made to fend off the heavy snowfalls the town gets. It's been known to have some of the heaviest snowfalls in the world.

     

     

     

    Amêdî, Kurdistan

    This town is located nearly 4,000ft above sea level. The locals have resisted building modern hotels for tourists but you are welcome to stay at there local inns.

     

     

    Ittoqqortoormiit, Greenland

    To get to Ittoqqortoomiit you must take a plane from the Capital of Iceland (which only leaves once a week) to Greenland where you will then need to get in a helicopter that flies you to the town.

     

    Tenby, Wales

    Ericeira, Portugal

    Ericeira has a population of around 7000. People first started populating the area back in the 1200's when they found vast amounts of sea urchins in the ocean which meant it would bring more people and money in the future.
