Most of us are familiar with the image of the Budai or "Laughing Buddha" who is generally depicted as a laughing or smiling balding man with a large, round belly. Artist Chris Milnes has taken this iconic figure and made him go pop-culture. Using 3D printing, Milnes has created a series of figurines with the body of the Laughing Buddha, but the head of various pop-culture icons. Not only do these just plain look cool, they could also be seen as a commentary on the way that these kinds of pop-culture figures are almost worshipped as gods.
