What would you think if you saw some of your favorite old master paintings, but then noticed they now contained elements from pop culture classics, such as The Simpsons and Star Wars? David Barton, a web developer and amateur artist from the UK, is responsible for something much like this. In his spare time, he reworks iconic paintings and adds in characters from movies and TV shows. He does his best to create these additions in the original style of the artist who crafted the original painting, as far as he can. However, Barton admits that it's really just a fun pastime, so he doesn't worry about style too much, as long as he's having fun and putting smiles on the faces of the viewers. We think he's done a great job and has certainly succeeded in making fun and amusing reworkings of classic paintings.
