A courageous teen model, Madeline Stuart, with 'Down Syndrome' has landed her first big contract with fashion labels. Less than two months after publicly announcing her goal of becoming a successful model, thereby challenging the stereotypes associated with the fashion industry at 18 years old, has been picked up by athletic brand 'Manifesta', as well as luxury handbag brand, 'everMaya'. Last year, Madeline lost 20kg in a bid to become more healthy and it was after this that she decided she wanted to model. Stuart, who lives in Brisbane, Australia, and her mother made it their mission to get Madeline noticed in the fashion world and to challenge how the world perceives beauty.
