Gonzalo Calvo Creates Unique Origami And The Results Are Awesome

Although Japan is generally considered the home of origami, you shouldn't discount talent from other parts of the world. In fact, one highly skilled origami enthusiast is Gonzalo Garcia Calvo, who hails from Spain. While most people think of origami creations as being purely angular, Calvo uses a number of different techniques, such as folding the paper while wet, to make slightly more curved figures. This gives a more realism to the finished pieces and makes for some extremely interesting and intricate origami. His favorite subject appears to be animals of all kinds, but he does tackle other objects from time to time. If you like what you see below, don't forget to have a look at Calvo's Flickr account!
