They say that dogs are a mans best friend, and this particular dog owner decided to show this by building his companion an awesome DIY tropical dog house! Rocky the dog is one lucky little fella, as this shelter is enough to make any human green with envy. Based in Southeast Asia, Rocky's original home kept getting destroyed due to the humidity, so his owner came up with a luxurious solution. The attention to detail is amazing, but with the right materials anyone could give their pet a new abode with a twist. Check it out!
First things first, getting the plywood.
The basic frame put together, no fancy joints or anything.
Fitting the bamboo screening.
The windows are actually Ikea photo frames, awesome!
A roof was then added, supported by more bamboo.
The last bits of bamboo are bolted where necessary and the rest is held on with glue and gravity.
Slots were cut in the bamboo to hold soil so leaves could be added.
Finished off with some green turf and a name plate. The structure is raised off the ground by more bamboo to avoid rain damage.
We think this is totally awesome! Rocky will be the coolest dog in the neighborhood!
