Generally speaking, as a society, us modern-day humans are totally and utterly obsessed with how we look. Whether it’s bigger biceps we crave, or a flatter stomach, for many people body-related obsessions can easily go several steps too far. Unfortunately, the consequences can be grave and the very antithesis of what is generally considered beautiful….anorexia and bulimia being two prime examples. Artist Jo Cabezas spent four months working on the below series of images, which combine photography and illustration to starkly demonstrate the consequences of going too far in the pursuit of so-called beauty ideals.
