Guinnevere Shuster Helps Get Black Dogs Into New Homes Using Photography

Apparently black dogs are pretty unpopular with would-be dog adopters at shelters. Who knew? Guinnevere Shuster, a photographer with connections to the Humane Society of Utah decided to do something to help. She created this gorgeous series of photos of dogs with flower garlands on their heads to show that black dogs are just as beautiful, fun and loveable as any other color of canine. Inspired by Sophie Gamand who photographed Pit Bulls in floral crowns to illustrate their softer sides, Shuster is actively helping potential owners change their perceptions of black dogs.
