And, there are so many things that people will say you have to do or you absolutely can't do on your big day. But, remember, it is exactly that… yours and your partner's big day, so it's really up to you what you do. If that isn't in line with most people's ideas of what a traditional wedding should look like, then that's just too bad! Although you want any guests you choose to invite to have a good time, you also want a wedding that reflects you, so don't let anyone else tell you what you can and can't do. If you're a woman in a relationship with a man, it's totally fine for you to propose to him.

It's alright not to invite toxic people… even if they're family.

It's fine to have your tattoos on display!
You don't have to have traditional readings.
It's okay to have your wedding somewhere other than a church or a hotel.
And, if you don't want to deal with all that wedding stress, it's perfectly alright to elope!
