Maximo Riera is renowned for his incredible animal chair designs. This awesomely comfortable-looking Hippopotamus Chair is in the designer's usual all-black signature style and is filled with detail. Riera wanted to take a functional and every day item in everyone's lives and create magic. He said of his work,
“Whilst considering the chair’s basic functionality, I also wanted to bring it alive, make it more present and create a stronger link between the spectator, the piece and the surrounding space.”
