Amrit Grewal, a Vancouver-based wedding photographer, was asked to do a photo shoot for Indian bridal clothing store "Wellgroomed" for an ad campaign that was to appear in South Asian Bride Magazine. The idea behind the photo shoot was to explore how Disney themes make their way into other cultures. Grewal took a series of photos, showing how Disney princesses can get a South Asian makeover. These photos are really interesting, as not only are they stunning, they also give the viewer some insight into notions of beauty and fashion in other cultures, as well as showing how Disney has become a global phenomenon.
